About 1 1/2 years ago, I saw a fabulous Patchwork card on Carol’s Scrappin’ in Paradise blog and fell in love with it. I finally got over my maths phobia enough to give it a whirl. Here is what I did using the Stamp of the Month and our gorgeous new Hello Lovely papers.
Each piece of the background is 1.5 x 1 inches, so it took less than one 1 x 12 strip of each paper to get all the pieces. It was super easy to lay them out onto a 4 x 5.25 piece of cardstock. Once I glued them down, I just flipped it over and trimmed the excess off with scissors. I mounted the whole thing on a standard 4.25 x 5.5 inch (A2) card. I LOVE IT!! I’ll definitely use this technique again.
Can you believe I did a whole project WITHOUT using my Shimmer Brush?!? Everyone admire my restraint. LOL
Now, hop on over to Donna’s Dat’s My Style blog to see what she’s created for you.

Love how you did your background!
H I love your card. Is there somewhere I can learn to lay this card out? I’ve been trying to find a layout for the patchwork and I just can’t figure it out.
